Sierra
Faylynn : The main character of the story takes the skinny shape
of a purple haired, tomboyish, 17-year old elf. Sierra's father, after being
summoned by the king, has not returned in almost 6 months. After meeting
the forest princess and learning that the king is not really what he seems,
she sets out on a mission to find her father and in the process discovers
her lost past. |

Phoenix Brayden:
Sierra's best friend since childhood, Phoenix's trademark mischievous grin
and love of firecrackers and explosives have given him a reputation as a
troublemaker in his hometown. He and Sierra are as close as brother and
sister....but don't even think about asking them if they're going out! He
joins Sierra on her journey to help and protect her, but also because his
mother has been trying to get him out of the house for a while..... |

Kaipo Faylynn:
The forest kingdom's pretty, pampered and sometimes prissy princess. Kai
has led a sheltered life, but when her own father orders her imprisonment,
she escapes from the castle and finds her way to Sierra's home for help.
She discovers a strange connection between herself and Sierra, and joins
them on their mission so that she can find out what is going on in her kingdom.
She also has a very big crush on Phoenix, but thinks that he and Sierra
like each other (little does she know!). |

Dr. Baron Faylynn:
Not really a doctor, Sierra's kind father is well known in their hometown
as the person to go to for answers and advice. The man that the villagers
lovingly nicknamed "Doc" was summoned to the forest's capital
to see the king and did not return. He was always outspoken in his dislike
of the king, and many of the villagers think that his boldness got him in
trouble. Sierra knew that her father harbored much anger towards the king,
but she was never told why. |

Nilo Kylemore: The youngest
of the royal advisors, Nilo became a sympathizer of Dr. Faylynn's cause
and became a spy in the castle after finding out what the King was really
like. When both Baron and Kaipo were imprisoned, he helped coordinate the
escape and then accompanied the princess to Sweet Haven to find Sierra.
Nilo is an intellegent and quiet young man, and after experiencing the turmoil
of life at the castle, wishes for nothing more than to find a peaceful place
to live out his life. |

Keidra Blaire: Cute and
spunky Keidra is the daughter of the Sweet Haven Town Bakery owners. She
works hard in the bakery and also makes deliveries for her parents, giving
her little time to socialize with others her age. Phoenix tries to make
sure he's at Sierra's house on the days that Keidra delivers there, as he
has had a major crush on Keidra for quite some time. Keidra is quick to
sit and chat when she has a chance, and she loves to share any of the local
gossip that she's heard while working in the bakery. |

Shina: A member
of the tribe of mole people that live in the eastern part of the forest,
Shina is traveling in search of a rare plant, a tradition of young female
moles before they are married. Shina is a skilled archer and trained in
combat, but her true nature is sweet and gentle, unwilling to harm any living
thing. |
